A Warroad, Minnesota woman continues to make a remarkable recovery at a North Dakota hospital...after an incident last November where she was shot 11 times by her estranged boyfriend. 47-year-old Tammy Peterson had just returned home from Bible study when 54-year-old Terry Weinard pumped the twenty-two caliber bullets into her body before turning the gun on himself. As she ran upon the initial shots going off, a total of 11 bullets tore through her body, shattering her hip, the bones in her left arm, and piercing through her liver and her stomach area. She managed to get to the neighbor's, where they called 911. Now, over 6 months later, Tammy sits at ease in a wheelchair that's been rigged to protect her still casted left hand and her injured hip. After getting moved to the rehabilitation unit of the Fargo hospital a few months ago...Tammy crawled, then was rolling up on her knees, and now..with some help..she is walking. She says God, and strong family support are the main credit for her miraculous recovery. Tammy is now planning on living with her sister, Lynn in Bemidji, while she continues to recuperate in outpatient therapy.
