Days at Bill and Sara's have begun!
Well, this past week has been great...as I have officially moved in with good church friends, Bill and Sara Ellingson....but I must believe there is something out there for me in life...especially in the profession I have grown to love so much....radio. It has been a tough few weeks after being let go by Cumulus because of cutbacks....I see many major corporations are cutting hundreds or even thousands more jobs....Ford Motor company comes to mind first, and today...I saw Blockbuster Video was pulling out of Rochester....due mostly in part to all the competition from online giants like NETFLIX and such, methinks....that's a few dozen jobs, they say....
Well, today....I was looking at my usual "list" of internet job searches...and happened to catch a glance at a couple jobs posted just over the past couple days with Family radio of LaCrosse, Wisconsin...The jobs are a morning co-host(and I am thinking since it says "midwest active rocker" it might be on the hard rock/heavy metal station)....and evenings on powerhouse country station, KQYB....I shall apply for both, methinks...but despite my fifteen years of experience...am not quite sure if I can handle either at this point....it will be nice to get some feedback on my MP3 demo, regardless! Wish me luck!
