R U READY 4 SUM FOOTBALL?!!
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review got into some of the rule changes that the NFL is making this year. One big rule seems designed to make it harder for teams to use a "silent count" in a loud building, limiting that way that offensive linemen can move before the snap. I'm calling it the "too late, the Vikings already suck" rule! JK....I wish them and the Packers luck this year!(but better luck to my Tampa Bay Buccaneers, of course!)
Other rule changes include:
"Fumbles that occur after a whistle, if recovered immediately and cleanly, are subject to instant replay review to see if the player was down by contact."
"Maximum time for instant replay viewings has been reduced from 90 to 60 seconds."
"Players getting into other player's faces and trash-talking will be more subject to an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty."
"A quarterback in the pocket can't be hit below the knees, unless the defensive player is blocked into him. Any such hit will result in a 15-yard penalty."
"Group touchdown celebrations, choreographed celebrations and use of props in celebrations will be penalized."
So, have fun watching this season....and remember...swim with a buddy!
