The Jane Child One Hit Wonder Room

Hopefully, this is an update of how I made it through the week WITH a job offer. I have been trying really hard to get more applications in...now that I have decided to not ONLY seek radio jobs for my unemployment income requirement purpose, but driver jobs...or perhaps jobs that require organizational communication(such as a job at Mayo I applied for that deals with outpatient information services).

UPDATE: JANUARY 19....11:42 AM....Just got back from a radio job interview last night in Grinnell, Iowa. I'm about eighty-five percent sure I will be hired for this full-time position that will pay me close to 6 hundred dollars more per month than my last job with KROC(Big Cumulus?...tuh..not!).....so be praying for me that it is the best thing in my life for me right now! I will attempt to update this thread Friday evening...after a promised phone call comes my way! Guess Fairmont must not be interested....but I guess that's their loss, right? ;)

FRIDAY EVENING UPDATE: Well, this very well may be my last blog pre-Grinnell, Iowa internet! I have indeed been hired as afternoon personality for AM Stereo radio station, KGRN
(which, by the way....doesn't have the best website right now...you'll see by clicking on the link!) My last night as a live-in resident in Minnesota will be Tuesday, January 23rd. From there, I will work 3 days in Grinnell while staying at the local "Days Inn"...and then, hopefully...will be moving in to a new home(apartment in my case) on Saturday, January 27th!
I would like to thank all my friends and family for their loving support in making this decision to get back into radio after my layoff last summer! My Minnesota roots will always be there, I know...and I certainly hope to see some of you at some point down the road!(better yet...you can keep in touch with me by leaving comments on this blog!...I'll keep you in the loop of my life!)
