The Jane Child One Hit Wonder Room

Ok...today was very odd. I am noticing more and more that the owner of this radio station likes to lay back and listen...and then spring his trap like some kind of negative hunter when something...anything...happens! I'll tell you what happened...

So the pager goes off from the newsroom...and I'm sure....in the owner's office somewhere....about a fire call in the city. My station manager...already in the vicinity of the newsroom...listens, and I come out of the studio to find out what the fuss is about. So it's a "minor" fire.....that appears happened at someone's home and was quashed quickly.....Well....we were gonna leave it at that.....but do you think this ambulance chasing mentality owner wants that? Nope....he wants to use his created format....hit the "roving red" sounder once at the scene....and sponsor it by Wes Finch Auto plaza....then blab about basically nothing after the fact that happened....In my opinion.....just to make another buck off an advertiser, while pleading "we are OBLIGATED to report to the community about what's happening!".....I don't buy it personally....but if that's his modis operendi....so be it!....I am really looking forward to the day this guy finalizes his sale to new ownership! I met the guy the other day, and he seems pretty cool! He remembered he had met Roseanne Davis(Rybak), one of my former bosses at KROC, and that was comforting....Also....I think the people I am working with on air are pretty cool.....work like son-of-a-guns....but are cool!(especially this sales/sports guy).....I don't know...I'm gonna keep at it! Pray for me!
