Ledger investigation FACTS
long time, no blog...yada yada...

Anyhoo...I thought I'd kick off my 2008 blog editions with the latest on what everyone is talking about surrounding the hollywood scene...Heath Ledger and the FACTS surrounding his death....alot of crud has been "speculated" about....and this author wants what he was trained to give as a news reporter....FACTS.
FACT... He was taking prescription medicine, seemingly to help him with a sleeping problem.
FACT...According to a publicist, Ledger had the flu in the days preceding his death
FACT....He may have been suffering from pneumonia prior to his death, although this is yet to be confirmed.
and FACT..... The results of the autopsy performed on Ledger's body were inconclusive, and we'll have to wait a further ten days for the results of further tests.
what interests me, though is not the death....but the Mary Kate Olson angle...People magazine is reporting that Ledger and Olsen...best known as half of the darling Michelle Tanner on the ABC late 80's-90's sitcom "Full House"....were dating(a claim her rep has denied), but not exclusively, for three months....The mag also states that the pair loved to party.(though if they'd been seen together doing that ONCE...does that constitute a report on such a thing?)
Nonetheless...It appears The masseuse who discovered Ledger's body at the apartment at 421 Broome St. in SoHo, Manhattan New York called actress Mary-Kate Olsen, a friend of Ledger's, twice before calling 911, acccording to a "police source with knowledge of the investigation". Olson was in California when she got the phone calls. Olson was not the apartment's owner, as had been reported...according to her publicist.
Olson told the masseuse she would call private security people in New York, and Emergency personnel arrived about seven minutes after a subsequent 911 call by the masseuse...around the same time as a private security person summoned by Olsen did.
Ledger's former fiancee, actress Michelle Williams, returned to the U.S., along with their 2-year-old daughter, Matilda, to her Brooklyn home Wednesday night. She has been filming a movie in Sweden.
It seems Ledger had been pretty distressed ever since their breakup last summer. They had met on the set of "Brokeback Mountain" in 2005. Williams had shared the apartment with Ledger in '06 thru middle of last year. Add to this the fact that Ledger had just come off filming his role as arch villain The Joker in the upcoming "Batman" movie installment...a role which disturbed Ledger, according to The Associated Press...and the possible new "relationship" with Mary Kate, and you can see quite a bit of the "stresses" in his life!

Ledger's family stands behind their belief that the 28-year-old Oscar-nominee would not commit suicide....and certainly the fact that Ledger had the flu prior, and had pill bottles nearby, might point to an accidental overdose....but in my view...getting away from his life's stresses...punctuated by that darn Michelle Tanner(half anyway)...would've been a better idea!...not that I'm saying NOT having a relationship would be the best...because having a relationship is very important in life...but with all the stress input...I'm just saying it's a better idea people take it easy when they're "on the rebound"...OK? Oh well, live, love and learn!
