Two more weeks of others vacationing to put up with!

Well, this week has started out O.K. It wasn't too busy in the KROC-AM News department, so I was able to concentrate better on enunciating my words and storytelling formats. I like it when there are a few more interesting things happening in the area, though!

These next two weeks will be a challenge, as our two main news guys rotate vacation weeks. I don't actually care if I get back to my "normal" evening shifts later than sooner, though. I get great practice, and better communication at the office when I am able to be there when just about everybody else is there also!(with the notable exception of our accountant....who I have been looking to talk to about my timesheet!)

Sunday was also a little nerveracking as well this past weekend, as I pulled off my first remote broadcast in over 8 years at a Senior Living Center that was celebrating their 6th year of existence over on Country Club road towards Byron. Some nice folks over there shared Root Beer Floats, sno cones, pop and popcorn, while the local antique auto club displayed some pretty looking classic automobiles!(I think there was a 1925 Chevy...looked really tricked out! Had to have been subject to LOTS of care and upkeep...looked like it had just come off the assembly line!) I did miss checking out our church's AWESOME sounding Sunday of serving, though...which bummed me out, personally.... but took comfort from the fact a morning of rest contributed to an energy that otherwise might not have been there for the Seniors!

Next week, I'll be back to the early morning news....writing up stories to be broadcast not only on my station, KROC-AM 1340....but posted on the website(of which you can link to through the "Place I work homepage" on the left/bottom of the page here) AND broadcast on 3 major Rochester area radio stations...Y-105.3, KWWK 96.5 and of course...Cori Jensen and James Rabe on 106.9! Always a fun time producing that news for those people!

have a great couple weeks, everybody!
