Things Are Moving On!

Well, happy to say that things are once again progressing in life! Been on the Marketing Real Estate Job for only a short time, and have already heard of another possibility that could bring in a $2 per hour raise in salary and for the most part...would keep working hours much the same as they are now!(normal 9-5 type stuff...which hasn't been very normal throughout my careers!)

Also moving on....sure-to-be-first-ballot-hall-of-fame Quarterback Bret Favre...to the New York Jets?!! I have had very mixed feelings about that announcement...Here you have a guy who RETIRED back in March, and the wheels were set in motion to make Aaron Rodgers the starting QB and possible heir to the Favre throne...yet the King apparantly couldn't stay away from his castle in Green Bay, and made a very childish attempt to throw a monkeywrench into any plans to move on.

In any case...yes...he is a hall-of-fame Quarterback who...as evidenced by last season's tremendous run in titletown...HAS the ability to lead a team to multiple victories on his arm, and I can only imagine if he was able to quickly grasp Jon Gruden's complex offensive scheme...would have been as deadly as any starting Quarterback in the league...That remains the only variable here, though...IMO...Will Bret work hard enough to learn his new offense?...and other than playing against Green Bay....will his game work ethic be as sharp as it was? Does he have enough of the love of playing and competing in his mind to match what might be left in his tired, old body? I also think he could have been an improvement injury-prone-wise to Jeff Garcia....but Garcia was a pro-bowler last season and proved he can do the job very well also...so that leads me to question wether or not this would have been the right move for Tampa Bay. Now, at least...we can all move on to bigger and better things...like rooting for our respective teams during the upcoming season. I'll be happy to catch Vikings games with friends, but will...as always....be hoping for a successful season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers!
